Why We Created Magic Minis
Magic Minis did not begin as a business idea.
They began as a feeling.
That familiar moment when you are sitting in a restaurant, an airport lounge or a waiting room, watching your child grow restless. The chair becomes uncomfortable. The table becomes boring. The wait feels endless. You reach for a phone or tablet, not because you want to, but because it feels like the only option left.
We have been there ourselves.
As parents, we understand that desire for calm rather than noise, focus rather than distraction. We know what it feels like to want something simple and reassuring that helps children settle without over stimulating them.
What We Kept Seeing, Again andAgain
Daniel has travelled internationally for over forty years. Trains, airports, departure lounges, delays, connections, long waits and short ones.
Different countries. Different cultures.
The same scene repeating itself.
Children bored.
Parents tired.
Screens becoming the default solution.
Not because parents do not care, but because there are very few alternatives that genuinely work in real life. After seeing this time and time
again, across decades and continents, one question became impossible to ignore.
Why hasn’t this been solved properly?
Something Gentle Was Missing
There is a space between education and play that is rarely filled well.
Many activities are disposable. Used once, then thrown away. Others are overstimulating or messy. Some feel too much like schoolwork. Others entertain briefly but offer no lasting value.
We wanted something different.

- Something children could return to again and again.
This matters for all children, but especially for those who benefit from structure, predictability and visual clarity, including many neurodivergent children. We have seen how the right kind of activity can quietly support focus and emotional regulation, not only in classrooms and kindergartens, but in everyday situations parents struggle with most.
